In school I spent more time looking out the window than at the teacher. I always felt like there was more to life than just sitting at a desk. barely passing grades and no financial backing, college just wasn't an option for me. What I did bring to the table was a love for the outdoors, a willingness to learn and a hard work ethic. 

My name is Jo Harrison(owner of BlastingWorld) and I've been a certified blaster for over 3 years. At 19 years old I took a leap of faith and quit my dead-end job and started from the bottom as a swamper with no experience. By 21 I saw my first 100k year. Not only has blasting changed my life financially, but it gave me structure, purpose and meaning in day to day life. No longer was I just a kid with no direction in life, I became a man with a mission. a mission to blow shit up, set myself up for financial success and to have a damn good time well doing it. 

Having spent the last 4 years in this unique and awesome trade I quickly realized 1 thing, everywhere I go I'm the youngest guy on the jobsite, often by 10+ years. Everyday I come home wondering why aren't more young men building a future in this absolutely essential, absolutely badass trade. 

That is what inspired me to create “blasting world”. My goal is to inspire young men like myself to find a purpose and a paycheck doing something so few people have even considered as a career path. Blasting honestly changed my life and has set me up for a successful future doing something that I'm proud of.
